Information Remi Sync processes

• Account information: your email address, name, profile image, and authentication identifiers supplied through Clerk.
• Folder and file information: relative file paths, file names, sizes, modification details, checksums, revisions, and sync history for folders you connect.
• File content: the contents of files in connected folders, uploaded to private Cloudflare R2 storage so your authorized devices can download them.
• Device and service information: device and folder identifiers, sync cursors, connection status, and limited operational errors needed to run and secure the service.

How the information is used

Remi Sync uses this information to sign you in, connect authorized devices, synchronize selected folders, verify file integrity, recover interrupted changes, resolve conflicts, protect the service, and respond to support requests.

Local information

The absolute path of a folder you select is stored on that computer. Remi Sync also keeps a private local state database, cache, and recovery journal. Relative paths and file data are sent to the cloud only for folders you explicitly connect.

Service providers

Remi Sync relies on these providers to operate the service:

• Clerk provides account authentication and session management.
• Convex stores account-linked device, folder, revision, and synchronization metadata.
• Cloudflare R2 stores file content and serves it to authorized devices through short-lived, signed requests.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and according to their own privacy and security terms.

Sharing and advertising

Remi Sync does not sell your personal information, does not run behavioral advertising, and does not share file content with other users unless you authorize a supported sharing or device-pairing action. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or the public.

Retention and deletion

Active file content and metadata are retained while needed to provide sync for your account. Superseded file objects and change history are normally retained for up to 30 days for recovery and synchronization. Local caches and journals remain on your computer until the app removes them or you delete them. To request account or cloud-data deletion, contact the address below.

Security

Remi Sync uses encrypted HTTPS connections, account-based access controls, short-lived signed file requests, integrity checks, and private local file permissions. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device and account credentials protected.

Your choices

You choose which folders and devices to connect. You can stop synchronization, disconnect a folder, sign out, or remove local app data at any time. You may also ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information associated with your account.

Children

Remi Sync is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Remi Sync changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when a material update is published.
